Level A1 (Beginner); Duration: 90 Hours

Level A1 and A2 work towards making one a ‘Basic User’.
After successful completion, students will be able to:
- Understand and use common expressions and basic phrases
- Introduce themselves and others
- Ask and answer questions about basic personal details
- Carry out a simple interaction with a French-born person, provided the person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help
Level A2 (Elementary); Duration: 120 Hours

Level A1 and A2 work towards making one a ‘Basic User’.
After successful completion, students will be able to:
- Understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. personal and family information; shopping, local geography, employment related communication)
- Communicate satisfactorily to perform simple and routine tasks requiring direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters
- Describe, in simple terms, aspects of one’s background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need
Level B1 (Intermediate); Duration: 180 Hours

After successful completion, students will be able to:
- Understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure etc.
- Deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken
- Produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest
- Describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans
Level B2 (Upper Intermediate); Duration: 200 Hours

Level B1 and B2 work towards making one an ‘Independent User’.
After successful completion, students will be able to:
- Understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in one’s field of specialization
- Interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party
- Produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options

After successful completion, students will be able to:
- Understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning
- Express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions
- Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes
- Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.

The Test d’évaluation du français is a test of fluency in French for non-native speakers which is often required to get PR ( Permanent Residency ) in Canada and it also helps the students to be admitted into Canadian universities. TEF is recognized by the Federal government of Canada as a proof of fluency in immigration procedures.

The Test de connaissance du français is a French language test for non-native speakers which actually completes French language entry requirements. It demonstrates language ability for job applications or can be used by Québec for immigration procedures.
